Hawksbill Sea Turtle
habitat
The Hawksbill Turtle spends part of its life in open oceans, but spends more time in shallow lagoons and coral reefs. They are usually seen resting in caves and ledges in and around reefs through out the day. Little is known about the habitat of early life-stages. Like other young sea turtles, they are assumed to be completely pelagic. (They remain at sea until they mature.) They have a wide population and are found in tropical reefs of the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans.
