Breeding

The Hawksbill Sea Turtle will mate in sucluded lagoons on remote islands. The mating season spans from April to November. After mating, females will drag themselves higher up the beach during the night. They would clear an area of debris and dig a hole with their rear flippers, then lay their eggs and cover it with sand. The baby turtles weigh less than 24g, with their shell measuring around 2.5cm long. After hatching the babies would crawl into the sea.
